SOPA and PIPA online protest (January 18th, 2012)















As you very well may know, today is that day in which several major sites, including Wikipedia and Google have protest the SOPA and PIPA bills. The bills aim to cut off websites that are providing primarily pirated content through government regulation. While piracy and copyright infringement are both something that should be removed, the definition of copyright infringement can be shaky. It would slow the inception of new ideas prevent important controversial topics from being brought up.
